| Mecom
Ltd. was established to offer building product companies an
alternative for their sample case needs. Due to our quality,
pricing and service, we have expanded to offer sample design,
warehousing and distribution, and fulfillment work. With over
70 employees and over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing
and distribution space, we can handle any workload a customer
needs. We currently work for several Fortune 500 companies,
and we pride ourselves on meeting any challenge they throw
at us.
Mecom believes that the sample industry
must be viewed from three viewpoints, and we consider each
sample from each viewpoint:
Your target customer:
The ultimate goal of every sample is to assist your sales
force in selling your product and services. The sample we
produce may be the first impression that customer has of your
company, and it may be the item that sits on his kitchen table
after your salesperson has gone. Our goal is to help you create
a sample which will look better than your competitor's and
will allow your product to stand out in a competitive market.
Our research has found that the target customer feels the
quality of the sample is a direct indicator of the quality
of the product or service they are buying. If a company presents
a shoddy sample, why should the customer expect their product
or service to be of better quality than their marketing materials?
Your sales force: Your
sales force knows that their target customers want to see
high quality samples with excellent marketing text and graphics.
But your sales force has additional concerns. They want samples
which can be customized to allow them to remove products/
colors they don't offer without ruining the quality of the
sample. They want samples which are easy to transport and
use. They want samples which aren't the same as their competitors.
They also want their samples delivered today, not in weeks.
Our research indicates that the sales force is not very concerned
with the price of a sample, so long as it is effective.
The sample purchaser:
The person in charge of buying the samples has a very difficult
job. They are looking for products which standout, which market
effectively, are cost effective to purchase, can be produced
when needed, and can be delivered to the end user when needed.
They also have to oversee the design and finished product,
monitor the sample inventory, and know when to re-order, all
while trying to keep up with internal product changes and
marketing pushes. This person has a completely different way
of looking at the samples that the sales force or customer.
For this person, we perform all the services listed on our
Home Page, focusing on making this difficult job as easy as
possible.
By looking at each sample from each perspective,
we help you produce the best possible sample.
